Enough

One of my favorite songs from the musical Hamilton is “That Would Be Enough.” The first time I saw Hamilton, the lyrics of this song actually brought me to tears. When it says: “Look at where you are. Look at where you started. The fact you’re alive is a miracle - Just stay alive”

For obvious reasons, this song spoke to me, but not just because I survived cancer. It spoke to me when says to “Look around, at how lucky we are to be alive right now.” The musical was based during the Revolutionary War. A very confusing time for and the beginning of our country. So, in a strange way it brings me peace knowing that even though we are living during a very confusing time for our county, we are still lucky to be alive right now.

Today, nothing went as planned. And deep down, I want to word vomit all over this about the depth of the challenge that happened today …. But instead, this post will be short - and it will be enough. It will be enough to remind me that God knows the plans for us. He has plans to prosper us and not harm us. He has plans to give us hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11) - and that is more than enough.
