Angels Among Us
In 2018, my family was chosen to receive a Christmas from Lynette’s Angels. I never met Lynette on earth, but I have met her angels. (Her wonderful friends and family who carry out her amazing legacy). Lynette's Angels was created in honor of the memory of Lynette Earnest, a loving wife and mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend who was always thinking of others even during her own battle with cancer. The mission of Lynette’s Angels is to provide an amazing Christmas for families impacted by cancer.
In 2018, my diagnosis rocked us to the core and I honestly did not know if I would live to see Christmas 2019. So when Lynette’s Angels selected our family to receive a special Christmas, I told them the only way my family would accept the gifts is if they would let us help their organization for years to come! Last year, I was able to help with some presentations and fundraisers, but this year seems to mean even more… as I am able to help again!
It is hard accepting help or gifts from strangers, but I also know that in 2018 I had no energy to do anything…. so it was a true blessing to have angels spoil us and especially give the boys a Christmas they will never forget. (And trust me… NONE of us will EVER forget the 2018 Angel Christmas)
I look forward to helping the angels celebrate Lynette’s life and legacy by bringing Christmas joy to families affected by cancer again this year, and for many years to come. For more information about Lynette’s Angels, please visit their website.
